Why it is important to be a healthy weight

Being above a healthy weight is associated with an increased risk of disease; including diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. People who are obese have a reduced life expectancy and, maybe more importantly, a reduced healthy life expectancy.  Additionally, weight also has impact upon mental health and obesity has been associated with anxiety and depression.
