Request a repeat prescription
For prescription ordering we recommend that patients download the NHS app. This will allow you to conveniently request medication at a time that suits you. Prescription ordering is also available through SystmOne online via our website, www.giffordssurgery.co.uk or you will be able to order medication using your repeat slip which can be dropped to the allocated prescriptions post box in our Reception area.
Alternatively, your local Pharmacy may be able to help with ordering.
Please note, that we are not able to take requests for medication over the phone.

Exemptions
Patients who fall into any of the below categories are exempt from using the NHS App and SystmOnline and can continue to send prescription requests to the surgery or nominated pharmacy:
- Patients who receive post-dated prescriptions
- Patients who have their medication in a Dosette Box
- Patients who reside in a nursing home
- Patients who are deaf or hard of hearing

Pharmacies offer a prescription collection service from our Practice
Pharmacy Ordering / Collection Service
Your pharmacy can also order your medication on your behalf. This saves you time and unnecessary visits to the Practice. Please contact the Pharmacy of your choice for more information if you wish to use this service.

Repeat Dispensing
If you, or someone you care for, use the same medicines regularly, you may be able to benefit from repeat dispensing from your pharmacist. This means you won't have to visit the surgery every time you need more medicines.
