Support for Veterans
Have you ever served in the Armed Forces?
If you have served in the UK Armed Forces, including the Regular or Reserve forces, please let us know. You may be entitled to additional support with your health and wellbeing, even if you left the Armed Forces many years ago.
Please tell a member of the practice team that you are a veteran so that this can be recorded on your medical record. This can help our clinicians recognise when specialist veteran services may be appropriate.
Need help today?
Our practice operates an on-the-day appointment system. If you are contacting us about a health problem, please follow our usual process for requesting an appointment.
You do not need to have a military-related health problem to ask for support as a veteran.
If your needs are not purely medical, you may also be able to speak with our Social Prescriber. They can help connect you with local and national organisations offering practical, social and wellbeing support.
Our Social Prescriber may be able to help with areas such as:
- social isolation or loneliness
- mental and emotional wellbeing
- housing and financial difficulties
- benefits and welfare support
- employment and volunteering
- community activities and groups
- support for long-term health conditions
- local veteran and Armed Forces organisations
Specialist NHS support for veterans
Op COURAGE – Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
Op COURAGE provides specialist mental health and wellbeing support for veterans, service leavers and reservists. You can self-refer, or a GP or another person can refer you with your agreement.
Op RESTORE – Veterans Physical Health and Wellbeing Service
Op RESTORE provides specialist NHS support for veterans with physical health problems that may be related to their military service. A GP or other appropriate clinician can refer you.
You don't have to manage it alone
Whether you need help with your health, wellbeing, finances, housing, relationships or simply getting connected with your local community, please tell us that you are a veteran.
Our practice team can help you identify the most appropriate source of support.
