The clinical team works together to deliver a wide range of services with other members of the practice team including;

Partners: There are three GP clinical partners and one Managing Partner.

Doctors: Giffords Surgery has several salaried and locum GP's. 

Nurse Practitioners: Nurse practitioners are nurses who have undertaken a further two years studying at degree level on top of their nurse training. During the extended nurse training they have learned how to, and taken exams in, medical examinations as well as history taking, health promotion, research, pharmacology and pathophysiology (put simply, how the body reacts to illness and disease process).Nurse practitioners are not employed to replace doctors but to complement the service they offer.

Practice NursesThe surgery has a team of highly trained and experienced practice nurses who can help and give advice on a number of problems.

Appointments can be made to see a practice nurse without going through the doctor for:

Community NursesA team of community nurses with a range of specialised skills are on hand to support patients. They include:

Health Visitors, District Nurses, Community Midwives, Community Psychiatric Nurses.
